I want to write to my in-laws that I feel that they are like real parents to me, but I want to make it clear that they come after my real parents (that's because my parents are also going to see this...)

Can I write: "I feel that you are my second parents"??

Sounds awful to me. Any alternative phrasing is welcome...
You could say something like Having you is like having an extra set of parents ~ I'm doubly blessed.
