Can you use that in speaking? E.g.;

'We went to Portafino, and the beach was simply divine!'

I would probably translate this;

'Siamo andati a Portofino, la spiaggia era belissima'

I would actually refer to a beach as "Semplicemente divina", it's really strong but not strange at all, even in everyday italian. But you could even use Bellissima, or Incantevole, that has almost the same meaning as Semplicemente divina.

"Simply divine" always means "semplicemente divino".
So "you are simply divine" is "sei semplicemente divino"
