German
"We were all in great shape, heading back from the sun, heading back to the moon, despite the beerguts and cellulite quilting, the rug glue and snapper sealant."

From the novel "Money" by Martin Amis. What is "snapper sealant"?
Hi ttttr

I suspect that "rug glue" is hairpiece adhesive and "snapper sealant" is denture fixative.

SO, "snappers" is a slang term for teeth ?
It's a rather old-fashioned slang term for teeth: Cassell's Dictionary of Slang dates it to between the 1920s and 1950s.
Haha funny, thanks.

Interesting. In the US, it would have been "choppers". (Although I do find "snappers" with that as a meaning in one US slang dictionary, I'd never heard or seen it used here to mean "teeth," true or false.)

Choppers is also used in BrE, alongside gnashers and (many) other variations on a theme. As far as I know, snappers is no longer commonly used anywhere.
