Hello,

The following is a sentence from the book "DEFCON 1 direct selling" by Randy Gage. I couldn't make sense. Could you help me with especially the underlined part in the bold sentence?

" By bringing them into the business, you are committing to be a partner for their success, not just your own. It doesn’t mean you should be under them in the structure to prop them up or qualify them at a higher rank."
The boss is at the top. You just took on a partner and made him/her a boss. It is not wise to put a lot of people his control so that he appears to have power, to have a higher rank. On a flow chart, as I said, the boss is at the top. Everyone else is lined up underneath the boss and supervisor and managers showing who reports to which person. The author is referring to this organization as a stack (as you look at it on paper).

Thanks a lot, sir.
