Hi, could you please explain what straitjacket means in this context?

Any attempt to establish rules in this organization will result in straitjacketing of their creativity.

Is it like "limitation"? Thank you!

Please tell us where you found this sentence. (Also, please note the misspelling of "straitjacketing" in your question.)
Look up the word strait jacket and see if you can figure out how that works as a metaphor.

Thank you! Just corrected it. I found it in a philosophy book but I changed it a little bit because I didnt want to copy the original sentence. So if it doesnt really make sense maybe that's the reason..
If you're going to quote from a book, please don't change the quote, as your changes may make it difficult for others to give you accurate answers. You also need to tell us the title and author of the book. We also need context. For example, in your sentence above, we don't know who or what "their" refers to.

If you're going to write your own sentence, which is fine, you need to explain what you want the sentence to mean, and tell us the situation in which you would say it.

Have you looked the word "straitjacket" up in a dictionary? What is confusing you about its use as a verb?

Yes, it conveys the meaning that any attempt to establish rules will limit creativity, using the mental image of the 'creativity' as a person tied up in a straitjacket and struggling to get out. This suggests that the result of any attempt to establish rules will be an excessive hindrance to the creativity of the business.
