Hello everybody,

I'm wondering how to say "surmonter" in the context of clothes.

Here's the French sentece: Il porte une tunique médiévale bordeaux surmontée d'un 'gilet' noir"

But in English, I relly can't find the right word!!! "He wears a burgundy medieval tunic surmontée with a black vest/waistcoat"?
