Hola todos,
¿Cómo se dice "top" cuando se refiere al parte de un traje de baño superior (para mujeres)?
I'm trying to figure out if there's a word that I can use to say "swimsuit top."

Por ejemplo:
Her swimsuit top is so cute!
¡Qué mono es su ___?___!

Gracias por adelante,
Katey
I know the word used in Spanish is the English word "top". And that would be one of the many other examples of English words adopted by colloquial Spanish. A few others of the like: OK, Large, Medium, Small
And in larger amounts, variations to the original word and used as the original English word, always coloquially, like: restaurante for restaurant, sanguche for sandwich, guachiman for watchman, chuzos for shoes, and many more. 👁 Wink ;)
En mi país decimos "top" como en ingles. En español, diría la parte arriba.

Espero que te sirva
En México se diría "Qué mono es el top de su traje de baño". Sólo que acá usamos muchos anglicismos. Habría que ver qué dice la gente de España (acerca de cómo le llaman) para que tengas una manera válida de decirlo en ese contexto. Saludos.
Ah, thank you. So if there are more than one, would I use the Spanish way of making something plural and say "topes," or would it just be "tops," like in English?
It would be "tops" cause if you say "topes" you are saying another thing (the plural word for "tope" -which is "topes").

"Los tops de los trajes de esas muchachas están monísimos."

Saludos.
Perfecto. ¡Gracias a todos!
