English
how would i say taken aback?
The sentence i originally used was
Mi corazon se calienta y estoy .
I dont think recuperado works very well for what i am trying to say.
Taken aback: perplejo

But we still don't know what you're trying to say.
Could you give the whole English sentence?
Hello,
Basically, in agreement with what Agró has written.
The phrase "taken aback" is meant for something that "makes us jump back in surprise" to use "recuperado" for this phrase would be a poor choice.
why not use "perplejo" instead?
