The whereabouts of has already sealed its place on the long list of the government’s perpetual lies.

Is everything about that sentence correct?
To "seal" a place is also an odd way to put, in my opinion. I'm also not sure how the whereabouts could be on a list of lies. If it's a lie, then it's concealing its whereabouts (whatever "it" is, as Madred829 pointed out). I can see something like:

"The 'official' answer as to ______'s whereabouts has earned a prominent place on the long list of perpetual govermnental lies."
