toggle wifi

I am reading the instruction book for my nexus tablet. It suggests I can use the "quick settings" to easily " toggle Wi-Fi, open the main menu and much more". I do not have a clue what toggle means in this context. I guess it could mean connect to available Wi-Fi. Is that right?
Normally I would guess that it meant 'to switch on or off' (as per a toggle switch). Actually I'm not going any further than that.
I believe you're correct, suzi. A "toggle" switch is a little lever that has (usually) two positions: on and off. So it seems to mean "turn the wi-fi on and off." (Actually, you won't find many toggle switches on today's devices.)

You don't need to go any further, that's exactly what it means.
Thanks folks. I got stuck on toggle as a type of button on a duffel coat!
