Hello,

A: Where are you?
B: I am sorry but I am on the traffic jam.
I will be half an hour late.

Can I say that I am on the traffic jam? Would it be better to use in an other way?

Thank you

"I am caught/stuck in a traffic jam." You could say "the traffic jam" if there is only one and everyone knows which one it is. Living near Los Angeles, I find it hard to imagine a place where there is only one traffic jam. πŸ‘ Wink ;)

If there were some context, "the traffic jam" might work. "There has been a huge accident involving two big rigs, and I'm caught in the traffic jam behind it."
Excuse me, I don't want to open another thread. I need to know whether the word "jam" used as in "traffic jam" can be pluralized (jams).
e.g. There were a lot of traffic jams in different parts of the city this morning.
Thanks!
Thanks dear friends!!!!!!!!!!!!
