Hi folks, can you help me? I don't understand the menaning of "tying" here:
Tying induces more consumers to multi-home and makes platform-specific exclusive content available to more consumers.👁 Confused :confused:

"Tying induce un numero maggiore di consumatori a partecipare a più piattaforme, rendendo disponibili i contenuti esclusivi specifici di ciascuna piattaforma ad una più ampia base di utenti"
The sentence is taken from an article that analyzes the effects of tying arrangements on market competition... any suggestion? 👁 Idea :idea:
"Tying" in this context means "linking" one behavior to another - so "legatura" is not a bad description.

Tying in this case might be something like: If person A buys X, then in the contract, Y must happen in addition.

Google with "tying arrangement" and the first six are quite nice descriptors.

Per quanto io sappia, si parla di "tying" quando i prodotti sono acquistabili solo assieme.

O forse si può dire il "multi-acquisto" come la multi-proprietà anche se il concetto non è proprio uguale...
