Hi, Could you please tell me how to translate 'viajazo' into English. I am trying to find a word for 'great trip' without saying 'gran viaje' ( in this context: "What a great trip!"). Thank You.

But we should know where your friend is from. Note that Interpreterale, from Argentina, says "viajazo" doesn't sound right to him.
Thanks InterpreterAle. I was thinking along the lines beso / besote and hoping there was such an equivalent for viaje.
"Gran viaje" sounds good to me. Down here people use the augmentative: "viajezote" to talk about their trip when they are smoking pot.

What a great trip! = Qué gran viaje! = Qué viajazo!

Hi jengabriela, I'm from Argentina and I have some Chilean friends. They usually say viajazo to mean long or marvelous trips, so if you'd like to use their slang, the word viajazo is correct for both meanings.

As they have told you "viajazo" is ok, but I don´t think it is very common, I would say. I´d rather use "¡Pedazo de viaje! or ¡Cacho de viaje!, although these phrases are very colloquial.
