Vita

When he suffered a period of extreme migraines
and ill health at the age of 36, he noted that ‘my father died young, at exactly
the same age at which I myself was at death’s door’ (Vita, enclosed in a letter
to Danish critic Georg Brandes, 10 April 1888).

Q: What does"vita" mean here?
It looks like the Italian word for "life". Is it, perhaps, a reference to an Italian biography of Nietzsche used by Oliver Dixon in writing the book?
Ah, so Nietzsche himself is using it as the heading of a section of a letter - a section dealing with a description of his life? In that case, it's probably Latin rather than Italian👁 Wink ;)
