No.
The sentence you give as an explanation expresses this much more clearly:
"Her main goal was to find her vocation in life."

One reason to say "vocation in life" is because the word "vocation," by itself, can also mean "being called by God to serve Him." Without those two words, someone might think that she was hoping God would call her. With them, it means she was hoping to find the kind of work she wants to do.

Adding "to find her," as panjandrum suggests, makes things clearer.
