'white out'

Somewhere a mod recently said 'please refrain from whiting out' - what does that mean? No more context, and I don't know what the moderated message had contained so I can't really figure out the meaning. Suggestions?
In this context, I'm a bit puzzled. I know it as a snowy weather condition, and as a reaction to sensory deprivation (again connected with snowy conditions!) and a perceptual effect from an overdose on marijuana (everything looks white to you). Perhaps it relates to the whiteness (blood draining from the skin surface) of anger?
White Out is a correction liquid used to "erase" ink from white paper by painting over the error. Perhaps this is what the moderator was referring to.
Oh yes, I meant to include that one! I know that on forums sometimes posters colour the text the same as the background so that it cannot be seen until the reader selects it. This is used for hiding "spoilers" (revealing the plots of films etc). Perhaps this could be used mischievously and this is what the poster is being asked to refrain from.
Thank you, both of you! Just had it explained to me so mystery solved: he was referring to using white colour letters, simply..!
