"Within the early minutes, our guard Greg Conway came out on a Three pointers, running jumpers, twisting drives." What does "wildfire streaks"? mean and it's not clear if "guard" is point guard or shooting guard?
Source: Learn Better by Ulrich Boser
Sorry, but I don't understand about half the words of your text. (What's a pointer? for example). You have to give much more context and hopefully a foto shot of the page you obtained your quote from so we can read what came before and after your quote.....and what the book is about.
It really makes no sense. Is the source available online? I think some words have to be wrong.
Yes, streaks is wrong. It is and should be streak.

Wildfire streak is not a normal word in basketball that I'm aware of. It appears to be the author's way of saying he was "hot", meaning he was scoring a lot of points.

Thanks a lot 👁 Smile :)
. Does guard here mean "point guard "or "shooting guard"?
If it doesn't say, that's no way to know.
