with rigidity

Hi, everybody!
In the American film I am translating a paramedic reports over the radio from the scene of an accident: Twenty-seven-year-old cyclist hit by a truck. Bruised upper left quadrant with rigidity.

Upper left quadrant as I understand is the upper left part of the buttocks.
I am not sure how to interpret 'with rigidity' :
a.'inflicted by a rigid object";
b. 'the bruised area is rigid'.
Could you help please?
The upper left quadrant refers to the abdomen.

"Rigidity" in this contexts means that the abdominal muscles are tensed. The abdomen is tight, hard.
Thank you very much, Nunty. You are the only one who can answer questons like this.

You are very welcome. I am certainly not the only one, though. I'm just the one who is here a lot.
