Hello, I came across the phrase Zoom funeral here in Wordreference in Culture Cafe, one of the members write: "I learned that Zoom funerals are unsatisfying in the most basic ways." It is a comment regarding covid19 restrictions. What is a Zoom funeral? Thanks.

A funeral conducted using Zoom. If you don't know what Zoom is, Google will help you. Why didn't you ask in the thread where the term was used?

Yes, at the moment, at least in England, there are lots of funerals going on, and only a couple of close relatives are allowed to attend. So organizers sometimes try to broadcast the funeral on Zoom for the other friends and relatives to watch. But the organizers are not expert film-makers and so the results are inappropriately comic (or it just doesn't work at all.)
