Hello again all! I have three freshly dead baby mice. There's a warehouse not far from me that distributes bird/plant seed, and mice are bad for business, bad for bird health, and bad for the workers. So they have poison traps. I asked about having their mice, since they would just get thrown away anyway. So they have three freshly dead baby mice in a freezer. I'm hoping to use Mealworms to clean them. They are on the cheap side, plentiful in my area, and they come in a cup that I can drop the bodies in. And when they grow to adult hood, I can just let them go in the park or something. I'm new to this though, and I've never seen anything like this happen before.
Can Mealworms be used? Would the poison that killed the mice hurt the bugs? Should I skin the mice first, or just drop them in as-is. They aren't technically beetles, so I thought it'd be best to ask first before I mess anything up. I'm not really interested in the skin. HOWEVER! If anyone is interested in the pelts, please let me know, and I'll try skinning something. I'm not sure what "size" they are, as I haven't actually seen them yet. I pick them up Thursday (trucks come on Tuesday and Wednesday, so it's not safe to be there without an employee pass. But Thursday is safe.) All I know is that there are three baby mice killed by poison for safety reasons.
I'd like to be prepared, so I'm getting info today/tomorrow, and getting prepped tomorrow/Thursday. |
