However, upon completion, players will find that they seemingly only have the ability to craft “Pans,” while "Pots" and "Plates" are nowhere to be seen. Luckily, this is a fairly easy problem to solve. Here’s how.

How to Unlock Pots in Solarpunk

To make Pots in Solarpunk, you first need to research Decorative Plates & Pots & Pans at a Tier 6 Research Table. You’ll need the following materials to unlock this recipe:

• Iron x2
• Brick x1
• Stick x1

Bricks can be made by smelting Clay in a Furnace. You can get Clay as a byproduct when mining other ores, or you can mine the permanent Clay patch on the large sky island northwest of the starting island, accessible after you unlock Airship level 4 (Airship Upgrade 3).

Similarly, Iron can be obtained by smelting Iron Ore in a Furnace, with a permanent Iron Ore node on the starting island. As for Sticks, you can simply turn 1 Wood into 2 Sticks via Inventory Crafting or at a Crafting Table.

How to Craft Pots in Solarpunk

Pots can be crafted at a Crafting Table under the Decorations tab, as an alternative recipe for the entry titled “Pan.” Pans, Pots, and Plates all share the same entry in the Crafting menu, which is the source of the confusion surrounding this topic.

To craft a Pot, here’s what you need to do:

1. Interact with a Crafting Table.
2. Go to the Decorations tab.
3. Select Pan.
4. Click on the second icon under Alternatives to select Decorative Pot.
5. Click on Craft to make a Decorative Pot.

If you want to make Plates instead, simply repeat the steps detailed above, but select the third icon instead of the second one.

How to Use Pots in Solarpunk

Pots cannot be used to cook in Solarpunk; they are purely decorative items with no actual function. They’re intended to be placed somewhere like the kitchen, where they can appear aesthetically pleasing. They can be placed on top of other tables, like Picnic Tables and shelves, to give your base a lived-in feel.
