A community for recipes and support for people who eat gluten-free for medical reasons AND are interested in eating low glycemic index, low-carb and/or sugar-free. This includes many diabetics as well as people on the South Beach Diet and other diets that call for eating only whole grains and reducing your intake of refined and high glycemic carbohydrates.
We've found that many people who begin to eat gluten-free due to celiac disease base their diets around processed gluten-free products, which can include gluten-free breads and cookies and crackers and cereals that are made largely of refined high-glycemic carbohydrates such as corn starch, potato starch and tapioca starch. This community is to help each other find ways to eat gluten-free while eating only (or mostly) whole grains, reduced carbohydrates, reduced sugar and/or low-glycemic foods.
