👁 Image ecstatic...but mostly tired |

Today was so exciting but so tiring. First the entire house (professors included) woke up early. There were a few people running around doing last minute packing but mostly everyone was sitting in the common room chatting about how interesting the trip was going to be. We were all staring at the schedules, mesmerized by the how amazing it all was, when Prof. Hat walked in. She informed us that the portkeys were ready and that we needed to get outside before they left.
As we filed out the common room, we all saw that Peeves and Humfrey were both awake and ready to say goodbye to the house in the most "pleasant" way possible. We were all expecting Peeves to be throwing things at us but we were sure Humfrey would still be mourning considering that was the reason he would not be coming with us...along with the possibility that everyone would become even more mentally unstable if they had to be so close to him for a week. He was there though, apparently to say his goodbyes to Ilona. Poor Ilo.
Once outside we were all rushed into little groups that we would be going on the trip on the portkey with. Then, one group at a time, we placed our hands on the portkey and were immediately off to Florida.
There was a minor problem with this though. As we were arriving in Florida, still spinning around at a sickening speed, the unexpected happened; a rocket took off at the nearby space rocket launch place. Now it doesn't sound like such a bad thing for us magical students if you are reading but try to imagine spinning around and then a rocket takes off, making the loudest noise and being so powerful that the ground shakes. It's not a good mixture! The portkeys were thrown off course. Most groups still landed pretty close to where they were supposed to but one unlucky group was thrown into the water of Cape Canaveral. Once they were all dried off (and even while they were in the water), everyone laughed about it so much that no one even cared that they had just been on a nauseating ride.
After that we waited for about ten minutes, passing the time by listening to music on Muggle music devices called iPods and by talking to friends. That was when the ship came. It was a large beautiful ship. It was simply breathtaking. Everyone was pushed into a single line so that no one would be trampled and we entered the ship. The inside was even more amazing than the outside. Everything imaginable is in this ship and everything is the best quality possible. Totally awesome.
Then we had this feast that was even better than the feasts at Hogwarts. There were all kinds of food, all delicious. It was a feast to welcome us to a trip and to wish us the best of luck and to have a lot of fun. It was really nice and a great time to socialize. :D
So now I am pretty tired. I guess I should go to bed because I need my rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long (yet extremely fun) day.
