⇱ ‘Ye ghar dekhne ke baad toh sabko gareeb hi lagega’: Farah Khan takes us on a tour of Khushi Kapoor’s home | Life-style News - The Indian Express

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently delighted fans with a fun-filled visit to ace producer Boney Kapoor’s extravagant Mumbai bungalow. The highlight of this visit, including a tour of the opulent home, was shared on Farah Khan’s YouTube channel and Instagram stories, offering a rare glimpse into the producer’s luxurious lifestyle.

Farah, accompanied by her cook Dilip—who often appears in her videos—couldn’t help but marvel at the grandiose mansion. She humorously commented to Dilip, “Main tujhe aisa ghar dikhaungi na tune pure sheher mein aisa ghar nahi dekha hoga (Today, I have brought you to a house that will make you realise how poor we are).” Dilip replied, echoing the sentiment, “Ma’am, hum gareeb hai na, humara ghar aisa nahi hai (We are poor na, we do not own a house like this).”

“Ye ghar dekhne ke baad toh sabko gareeb hi lagega (everyone will feel poor looking at this home),” Farah jokes.

The home boasts a grand, high-ceiling living space featuring a custom-made mirror fitted into one of the walls, instantly setting a tone of elegance. Moving deeper into the house, a striking white spiral staircase takes centre stage, leading to bedrooms and other eclectic living spaces adorned with warm browns and beiges.

The dining area is nothing short of magnificent, with a large wooden table under a sparkling crystal chandelier. The bar-cum-living area exudes luxury with its golden, white, and brown theme, featuring intricate wooden work, stylish flooring, and light fixtures. This space opens to a balcony lush with greenery and trees of varying sizes.

Art lovers would feel at home here, as the mansion is filled with vibrant paintings, photographs, and unique artifacts. One standout feature is the gallery wall adorned with family photos in ornate frames, offering a personal touch to the grandeur.

The outdoor space is equally breathtaking, with terracotta tiles, lush gardens, fountains, and an outdoor kitchen station.

“Ye toh hotel jaisa lag raha hai (this looks like a hotel),” says Dilip. “Hotel se bada hai yaar. Itna bada pool toh hotel mein bhi nahi hota. Hum logo ka pool kitna chota hai na (It’s even bigger! Even hotels don’t have pools this large. Our pool is so small),” Farah joked.

Farah’s witty observations throughout the tour added charm to the video, making it a perfect blend of humour and awe-inspiring visuals.
