Mangalore Power Company in its latest edition of MPC Samachar has statistics to prove that the use of imported coal — which has lower ash and sulphur content — results in lower tariff per unit of electricity produced.

The coal for Mangalore Power Company’s 1000 MW Mangalore Project will be imported from Australia and South Africa.
