Who says men can’t sport bangs? Noticed how most Bollywood male stars are sporting the shaggy “hair on the forehead” look? From curly locks to a longer version of the Clooney cut a la George Clooney and his clipped hair on the forehead, bangs for men are quite the rage.

Now we wonder why? Is it an effort by our stars to look younger and hide any signs of baldness? Says stylist Yatan Ahluwalia, “There are several reasons to go for bangs. Of course, it disguises a receding hairline or pimples on the forehead and it also gives a younger, softer look.”

The advantage with this sort of hairstyle is that it can be worn in many ways. It can be worn finished with all the hair in place or tousled for a more casual look. If not hanging on the forehead, the bangs can be also parted in the middle or brushed to the side. One can also spike the hair occasionally with a spot of hair gel. Adds Yatan, “If someone’s got a broad face, bangs can give an angular look to it.”
