Programme on Intensive Care
A Continuing Medical Education Programme on Trauma Anesthesia and Intensive Care is being conducted at the PGI on August 8, 9, by the City branch of the Indian Society of Anaesthesists and the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, informed Dr Pramila Chari, Head of the Department, Anethesia and Intensive Care here today. The highlight of the CME will be the immediate care of road traffic victims.

The Horticulture Workers Union of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation today sat in a dharna in support of their demands.

The dharna opposite the office of MC in Sector 17 was staged to protest the leasing out of two nurseries in Sector 23 and 26 to private parties and besides pressing for the acceptance of other quot;long-pendingquot; demands.

These include absorbing of daily wagers as regular employees, filling up of all vacant posts and issuing of G.P. Fund, said union’s general secretary Ashwani Kumar in a statement.
