Two days after the high-profile panel zeroed in on four candidates in the hunt for a replacement for Indian coach John Wright, the BCCI is awaiting intimation from the selected four — Greg Chappell and Tom Moody, and Indians Mohinder Amarnath and Sandeep Patil.

Speaking to The Indian Express, the BCCI joint-secretary Gautam Dasgupta said: “Having decided that the interview dates for these candidates would May 19 and 25, we sent invitations to all four of them yesterday.

“We are yet to receive any reply from any of them, it is way too early to expect that though.”
