The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs Thursday approved the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan,a central government-sponsored scheme to reform the state higher education system. RUSA had been approved by the National Development Council for inclusion in the 12th Five Year Plan. It was subsequently included in a list of 66 restructured central schemes cleared by the Cabinet on June 20,2013,said a statement released by the government.
