Underwater diving sure offers a thrilling experience, but the unpredictable nature of the oceans can make it challenging at times. Lilian Tagliari, a Brazil-based diver, recently lived her worst nightmare when she was bitten by a nurse shark while she was deep in the ocean.
The viral video shows Tagliari swimming among several nurse sharks and other wildlife creatures. In a trice, a shark approaches her and bites her leg, leaving teeth marks. The incident occurred in the Maldives in the Indian Ocean.
Sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote, “I know I will probably get a lot of “hate” in this video because: YES, I go swimming in the middle of sharks. YES, I like to take photos with sharks. YES, I know I’m in their home. So, I am not complaining. It was just a weird little accident that left me some cute scars… tawny (nurse sharks) very rarely bit humans, and the bite is more like a suction…so no limbs missing, just another story to tell.”

The video accumulated more than four million views with several social media users reacting to it. “Good you are doing well. I would put an tattoo on it,” a user wrote. “Amazing how you got this on film! You are such a brave girl and remained so calm,” another user commented.
“Ocean cats, a little bite’s never done anyone any harm,” a third user reacted. “Just a reminder of who’s boss around here,” another user wrote.
