Skiing prodigy turned tennis pro Jannik Sinner is now carving out a name for himself on centre court.
Started the year unranked. Played on the ITF circuit, mostly in Futures events. Received wild cards for ATP Challenger tournaments and won an ITF doubles title, ending the year ranked No. 551.
Won the Next Gen ATP Finals and several Challenger and Futures titles, showcasing his talent on various court surfaces, ending with a rise to No. 78.
Won his first ATP title at the Sofia Open, made the French Open quarter-finals and achieved a top 10 victory, ending the year ranked No. 37.
Won two ATP titles, reached his first ATP Masters 1000 final in Miami, won his first doubles title and claimed his first ATP 500 title. Became the youngest to win five ATP titles since Djokovic and ended the year ranked No. 10.
Reached the quarter-finals of three Grand Slam tournaments, won his first clay court title at the Croatia Open and finished the year ranked No. 15.
Reached his first major semi-final at Wimbledon, won his first ATP Masters 1000 title and the Open Sud de France and reached the ATP finals. Became Davis Cup champion, climbing to world No. 4.
Won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, became the first Italian to reach the world No. 1 ranking, secured his second Grand Slam title at the US Open and won the ATP Finals in Turin.
Successfully defended his Australian Open title. Reached the Rome Masters 1000 final and the Roland-Garros final. Won Wimbledon, collecting his fourth Grand Slam title. Made the US Open final and closed the season by winning the ATP Finals for the second consecutive year.
Reached the semi-finals at the Australian Open in January. Won Indian Wells in March, completing the set of all six ATP Masters 1000 hard-court titles before claiming the Miami Open later that month to secure the Sunshine Double.
