Mr. Lahr,

I’m just re-reading your fascinating biography of your father, that I bought back in the ’90s. In the emotional, factual and contextual depth of the book … besides your love of your subject, I also see that you share his incredible drive and work ethic.
Once completing again father’s story again, I will pick up your other books, and peruse your various reviews. Though I never saw Bill Hicks perform in person, your interaction with him also is interesting to me.

Hi John~ I’d like to have you email me regarding your mother’s ancestry. I’m an amateur genealogist. We share common ancestors, and I’m interested in seeing if you’re interested in learning more about the family. I’m not a stalker! 😉 I’ve just been reading everything I can get my hands on that you’ve written about your parents, specifically your mother, and from what I’ve read (and maybe I’m incorrect in my assumptions), you don’t have a whole lot of information on your mother’s family and where/who she descends from.
