f anyone would like to attend the NIN show on Friday in Columbia, MO, I have an extra ticket for sale - it's going for the retail price of $58.00. It's a really good seat near the stage, first level, on the right hand side.

I am driving down from KC that day, and if needed you can ride with us, we will provide gas. We will be leaving around 2pm the next day. Possible lodging provided if you're not a psycho. x)

I want to meet local people, but I'm not into the club scene. If anyone is willing to meet up with me (feel free to get what you feel the need to out of my user info) and/or knows a good place to meet people, like a coffee shop or something, please let me know. I just want to meet some good people in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere! People who also want to set a group up like this are welcome. I just moved to KC and I'm looking for avenues to meet other people. I've got ONE friend in the area, but... yeah. A social life this is not.

Ok, well, since it's coming up on Friday, and we don't have a firm decision, I'm going to make one: 

Saturday (the 13th), 7:00pm
Meet at Pizzeria Uno at the Plaza

Have some pizza and drinks if desired, then either head to The Planet on Broadway or Westport Coffee House for boardgames or whatnot, or somewhere else for some more drinks, whatever the consensus is.

If anybody doesn't like this plan, offer up a different one instead.   :-> Oh, and follow up if you're planning on being there, so we have some idea how big a table we'll need.

Let's make an actual plan since we have the poll put together already. Looks like Dining out, Movie night, or making dinner are rated among the most highly. Not sure why the dinner thing and something to do at it couldn't be combined. Like make dinner together, talk about random BS, and then for those who want to play board games afterwards, or if those attending don't go for that, then just the normal kibitzing with some sort of beverage in hand. Also looks like most people prefer a Saturday or Friday evening. So how about something next Saturday evening, the 13th? I think the 20th might bring it way too close to Thanksgiving. And figuring out what it is everyone would like to do that day. Probably the safest thing is just meeting at some place in...Plaza/Westport? That way we can at least get an impression of who everyone is and no one has to deal with the anxiety of going to someone's place they don't know. Oh, and you don't have to invite strangers into your home. This sound kosher to everyone? Next Saturday evening, at the Plaza/Westport, pick a time and a restaurant?

If there are dissenters please let me know.

Hey, all - I put together this quick poll to try to get some feel for who's in this group, and who's interested in what, so that people can have some idea what everybody else is interested in when trying to plan. Most of the things are just off-the-top-of-my-head ideas, so if you have others, please comment! And keep in mind that it's all "in-general", so keep that in mind on the questions about days of the week and travel.

If anyone has anything they would like to line up go ahead and post it here. Any suggestions are welcome. Also different nights that are convenient to other people should probably be listed. Main purpose of this is because LJMeetUp doesn't seem to work at all, and I think there's a lot of us who want to build up our network of friends. :)
