| 07:10 pm I need advice about my daughter... She is INCREDIBLY Difficult about eating... she only eats a few different things, refuses to eat veggies, and does not really like fruit... so I need advice on how to get her to eat better...i can't do the "ok you don't eat what I make, you starve", cause she gets a wicked stomach ache and then throws up if she doesn't eat at regular intervals....HELP!!!!!
She is 7 and fairly healthy normally... but this is starting to worry me... about the fact that she doesn't eat veggies or fruits...

| 10:05 am - Kid's food preferences: boys vs girls? Today's post on The Difference Blog is about gender differences in the foods kids eat. It's suggested that boys tend to like processed foods more, whereas girls are more likely to like fruits and vegetables. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences with kids and food preferences, or about articles you've read that might have shown other results.

| 02:03 pm Hi, I'm new and have a concern. My son is 17 months old and anemic. I am a vegetarian, but raise my kids to eat meat. Problem is alot of it grosses me out, so their daddy has to cook that part. Well apparently they're not getting enough. He just got put on iron chew-ables, but refuses to eat them. They have a very distinct taste and smell so I can't hide it in anything. Any takers? Current Mood: 👁 okay okay

| 11:10 pm - New Hi everyone. I am new to the community. So info... I have an almost 6 month old daughter (August 4 she will be 6 months) named Jaylynn. I am 20 years old (I will be 21 December 22!! hehe) We started feeding Jaylynn cereal in her bottle at like 3 months... then we started giving it to her by the bowl and spoon at 4-5 months. She now has the hang of it. So, a couple of weeks ago we started her on veggies. She like sweet tatos, green beans, squash, and peas. She HATES carrots, maybe that's because that's all I ate while pregnant. We also tried to give her some meaty stuff, turkey and chicken alone and mixed with other stuff. She really like them. She LOVES chicken. My boyfriend chews it up and then gives it to her when we are eating it. We haven't done fruits yet, I want her to get enough veggie feedings so that she keeps eating them. We also started giving her some gerber garden stuff juice. She likes that.
I must say that I do get lazy alot and don't feel like feeding her because it is such an event... so she still drinks her formula. Current Mood: 👁 calm calm

| 07:29 pm Couple of questions:
Can anyone explain why a 17 month old has to throw his food(plate included) onto the floor?! :)
At what age should I expect him to master using a fork and spoon? He is still pretty clumsy with both...
Thanks! Current Mood: 👁 bouncy bouncy

| 11:26 pm Hey there. :) I'm new here, but I think this community is a great idea! My son is the epitome of the picky eater. (he's almost 2 btw...) He went throught a phase where all he would eat was Life cereal. He would even go in the pantry and get the box out. :) Now he's eatting a lot more than Life, but he will let you know if he disapproves of whatever you've served him by ceremoniously dumping his plate/bowl on the floor. We've gone through at least a half a dozen "unbreakable" toddler plates and bowls. ;P Current Mood: 👁 sleepy sleepy
