Given that I haven't been doing very well lately wrt going out and that my flat is now sorted enough to have people around, I'd like to invite you all to come around for a night of nibbles, wine and talking.

It's sunny, it's summer, and the whole year feels like it's been too full of tears and trauma for everyone. In the name of ceasing misery and promoting cheeriness, I propose cocktails, sometime soon, somewhere nice. Any one fancy it?

hello ladies!

my post yesterday seems to have prompted some disco fever, so hester and i are forming the bones of a plan for a night out at popstarz on april 20th. is anyone else interested? ah go on - there'll be cheesy pop an' everything!!

Just a thought, re country weekends, do we have enough drivers with cars who are willing to give lifts? Or indeed enough drivers prepared to hire cars and give lifts?

I can theoretically drive (have a licence) but haven't done so for more than six years and would really need some lessons before I got back behind the wheel so I wouldn't really like to volunteer unless the situation was desperate.

The loveliest places tend to be the hardest to reach by public transport, of course!
