I am a medical oncologist working at the Maastricht University Medical Center+ in Maastricht, the Netherlands, since . I work in both the rare cancer team with a focus on head & neck cancers, sarcomas, and central nervous system malignancies, as well as the breast cancer team. In addition, I am part of the phase I/II clinical research unit, where we participate in first-in-human studies and early phase clinical trials, aiming to test promising experimental new cancer treatments.
I was trained at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the UMCG in Groningen, and the Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) in Enschede, the Netherlands. My PhD dissertation at the University of Groningen focussed on long-term outcome and treatment-related toxicity in patients with breast cancer and patients with testicular cancer.
