Are there known problems with Tahoe and Adobe

Rod Gigstad 0 Reputation points

Since installing Tahoe 26.2 I have had problems opening Office apps.

Error message that seems to be stopping Excel from running is SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam.

Is there a way to correct this?

Contact Adobe Support. They are the best source for correcting issues with their products because the solutions vary based on Office & macOS version.

    I cannot open Excel.

It just bounces in the bottom row and will not open.

There are known incompatibilities between Office applications and Adobe Acrobat, particularly with the SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam add-in. This add-in can cause issues when opening Excel and other Office applications, especially after updates to macOS like Tahoe 26.2. To resolve this, you may need to disable or remove the Adobe PDFMaker add-in from Excel. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Open Excel and go to the Tools menu.
    2. Select Excel Add-ins.
    3. Uncheck the SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam add-in if it is listed.
    4. Restart Excel to see if the issue persists.

If the problem continues, consider checking for updates to both Office and Adobe applications, as compatibility issues can often be resolved with the latest versions.
