Changes to the legal name on a Microsoft certification profile and on an existing Pearson VUE exam booking cannot be made directly through Microsoft Learn profile edits alone and cannot be completed from here.
To get the legal name and the existing AI-900 exam appointment corrected:
- Use the Microsoft Certification Support channel
- Go to Microsoft Certification Support as indicated in the certification support guidance and submit a case describing:
- The incorrect name currently shown ("Venugopal P P").
- The correct legal name exactly as on the government ID ("Venugopal P").
- That there is an existing AI-900 exam scheduled on May 27, 2026.
- A support agent can update the certification profile name and advise on synchronizing that change with the Pearson VUE booking.
- If the booking itself is locked or shows the wrong name
- Contact Pearson VUE Support directly for Microsoft exams. The moderator guidance for scheduling issues directs candidates to Pearson VUE Support for account and booking problems.
- Provide the Microsoft exam details (AI-900, date, time, test center/online) and request that the booking name be updated to match the corrected certification profile/legal ID.
- Verify before exam day
- After support completes the update, sign in to the certification dashboard and confirm that:
- The certification profile shows the correct legal name.
- The scheduled AI-900 appointment reflects the same name.
- If there is any mismatch, re-contact Pearson VUE Support before exam day to avoid issues at check-in.
Name changes and booking corrections must be handled by Microsoft Certification Support and/or Pearson VUE Support; they cannot be processed automatically or by community tools.
