eDrive IEEE1667 password
I brought a new SSD supporting SED. I want to enable it. But I saw someone said he enabled the function 'Allow OPAL Hard Drive SID Authentication' in uefi firmware, then he enabled Bitlocker. If he disabled the function in uefi firmware, the uefi firmware prompted a information that he must enter DriveLock password and could not enter uefi settings. Unless he unpluged the encrypted SSD. It seems that Windows automatically sets a DriveLock password but it does't tell the user. How to find this password. How to unlock SSD when the message appears.

Due to security policy requirements, Microsoft will not provide the MSID for you to unlock it.
To disable eDrive/IEEE 1667 mode, you can perform a secure erase using the PSID printed on your solid-state drive.
