Enabling Immersive Reader's Reading Coach in Third-Party Apps

Is it possible to enable Immersive Reader's "Reading Coach" feature in non-Microsoft applications? A language learning app has been developed and Immersive Reader has been integrated into both mobile and desktop versions via Azure, but the "Reading Practice" toggle is not appearing. How can the Reading Coach be enabled for my account/subscription to enhance reading practice?

    Currently, the feature "Reading Coach" for Immersive Reader is available in first-party Microsoft products but has not been made accessible for non-Microsoft applications leveraging Azure Immersive Reader APIs. As of now, there’s no public indication or official statement confirming its availability for third-party apps integrated via Azure.

    Below is the link containing available properties that configurable from Java 1.4 SDK

    (Suggesting upgrading to 1.4 SDK if you are using in lower version to see any difference on Reader's coach availability)

    Hi Manas Mohanty,
    thank you for the answer. Is it possible to request Microsoft to make it available on non-Microsoft applications? In my app, the Immersive Reader shows simplified culturally relevant texts for language learners. Having them copy paste each text onto a Microsoft app would be an unpleasant UX.

    It is not available to 3rd party usage, and they are removing the feature in 1p customer soon.

    Oh I see, thanks. So, to be clear, it is the Reading Practice toggle within the Immersive Reader that is being removed, right? Will the Reading Coach by Azure Speech Services still be available?

    Even the "Reading Coach" feature in Azure Immersive Reader is only available for Microsoft first-party products and not extended to third-party applications or services that integrate with Azure Immersive Reader APIs.

    You can post this as feature request on feedback forum.
