Hello GA - Brian Mayorga
It looks like you're facing issues with Azure Migrate after recreating your Azure Migrate project. The VMs are appearing in the Discover section but not in the Replicate section. Here are some things you can try:
-
- Check Replication Settings: Go to your Azure Migrate project and ensure that replication is correctly configured for your VMs. Sometimes, after recreating the project, settings might get reset.
- Review Network Configuration: Ensure that your network settings allow for replication. Make sure the necessary ports are open and there are no firewall rules blocking Azure communication.
- Re-Enable Replication: If the VMs are still not showing up, consider disabling and then re-enabling replication for the affected VMs. This can often refresh the connection and make them visible again.
- Review Permissions: Since you've recreated your project, ensure that the necessary permissions are set for the Azure Migrate service, especially around Key Vault and the resource group where your project resides. This is important as the Azure Migrate project creates a Key Vault that manages access keys.
- Use Diagnostics: Run replication diagnostics to check for issues. If there are any issues with the replication cycle, the diagnostics might provide insights into what went wrong.
- Check VM Status: Ensure all involved VMs are in a powered-on state and accessible. Any issues with the VM can prevent it from appearing in the replication list.
Follow-up Questions
- Are you getting any specific error messages when trying to replicate the VMs?
- Have you confirmed that the necessary permissions are correctly set for your Azure Migrate project?
- Are all of the VMs you expect to replicate powered on and reachable from the Azure Migrate appliance?
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance! Hope this helps!

Hi GA - Brian Mayorga
Could you please provide the below details for further investigation?- Are you migrating from VMware, Hyper-V, or a physical server?
- Where is your source VM currently located?
- If the source is a physical server, it will appear under Discover, but it will not show under Replicate until the Mobility Agent is installed and registered.

Hello, I am having the same problem. I'm trying to migrate VMs from OCI to Azure, they appers in the discover tab, but on migrate shows the message: No workloads selected. Select workloads to replicate in the workloads tab.
