ASR breaks after Redhat patched to version 9.8
Hi,
After our Red Hat VMs in Azure were patched and upgraded to RHEL 9.8, Azure Site Recovery (ASR) stopped working.
We understand that RHEL 9.8 is not currently listed in the ASR support matrix. However, could you please advise whether there is a tentative timeline for when support for RHEL 9.8 will be added?
Many thanks.

Hi @Keats Lee
This behavior is expected because RHEL 9.8 is currently not listed as a supported OS version in the Azure Site Recovery support matrix. At present, supported versions include RHEL 9.7 and below, and ASR replication is only guaranteed on supported OS/kernel combinations.
To restore replication, we recommend using a supported OS version (such as RHEL 9.7) or waiting until RHEL 9.8 support is officially added through a future Site Recovery update rollup.
Also, before performing OS/kernel upgrades, itβs important to validate compatibility against the support matrix, as unsupported versions can lead to replication failures.
Currently, there is no official timeline available for RHEL 9.8 support in Azure Site Recovery. If you wish, you may provide your feedback through the feedback portal https://feedback.azure.com/d365community
