Access MOC for course MSSQL Server 2014

HI,

I did a course in 2015 MSSQL Server 2014 and BI module. How can I access the study material as I have no more access to SkillPipe?

SkillPipe was retired several years ago and any courses you had on there will have been lost.

Microsoft removes courseware for retired courses so the courseware you want is no longer available but if it was it would be pretty useless as it would be very out of date

All Microsoft course material is now freely available on Microsoft Learn e.g.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/browse/?resource_type=module&filter-products=SQL&products=sql-server

I have absolutely no idea; I don't know if I ever heard of SkillPipe before.

However, if you would get your hands on that study material, it would be very outdated. There has been lots of news since 2014, not the least in the BI sphere. Did that material even mention Power BI, which started to appear around that time? And which has changed and evolved a lot since then.

So it might even be a good thing that you cannot find that material today.

AI answer

The Microsoft Official Course (MOC) materials for SQL Server 2014 and related BI courses delivered via Skillpipe are now retired and are no longer available for download or purchase through Microsoft channels.

Key points based on current retirement policy:

  • Instructor-led MOC courses for SQL Server 2014 (for example, 20461, 20462, 20463, 20464, 20465, 20466, 20467) have been retired.
  • After a course is retired, it is no longer sold and no longer appears in the course catalog.
  • If the digital courseware was not downloaded or saved before retirement, it cannot be newly downloaded afterward.
  • If the material was previously downloaded or received, it may still be used subject to the original licensing terms, but only from that existing copy.

Because access through Skillpipe is no longer available and the courses are retired, there is no supported way to re‑obtain the original MOC study material from Microsoft now. For current learning, use the free online resources at https://aka.ms/learn, which provide up-to-date SQL and data platform content.
