I would like to change current family subscription to business subscription

Switching from a Microsoft 365 Family subscription to a Business subscription does not carry over sharing rights. Microsoft 365 Family allows you to share the subscription with up to 6 people, but Microsoft 365 Business subscriptions are assigned to individual users (licensed per user) and are intended for organizational use.

• Once you cancel or switch from Family, your family members will lose access to the shared benefits (Office apps, storage, etc.).
• Their access continues only until the Family subscription expires.
• If they still need access, they must have their own subscription (e.g., Family, Personal, or a separately assigned Business license).

In short, the Business subscription cannot be shared with family members like the Family plan.

Your family or the sharing will still be existent if you will not cancel the current Microsoft 365 Family subscription and in this scenario you will be having both the business and family subscription if you are keen to keeping both and this is to ensure that your family will get to continue on what they currently have.
