I have had no access to my Exchange email on my iPhone for 2 days. I have received an ID for this incident: ID [Moderator note: personal info removed]

When I attempt to reset my password, I get a 2-digit code which I then type into Microsoft Authenticator. The code is accepted. I get a message on Authenticator that says that my account is stored on iCloud, but my Exchange email account still does not work. Please let me know asap how to restore my email on my iPhone.

    Hi Michel Gevers

Based on your description, it may also be worth checking whether there is an issue with the Microsoft Authenticator registration associated with the account.

If this is a work or school (Microsoft 365/Exchange) account: The issue may be related to the Microsoft Authenticator registration or another sign-in requirement associated with your organization's account.

If you recently changed phones, restored your device, or reinstalled Microsoft Authenticator, your organization's IT administrator may need to review or reset your MFA registration before you can sign in again. After that, you may need to reset Microsoft Authenticator on the iPhone. (For you reference: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…)

If this is a personal Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com account: The message in Microsoft Authenticator indicating that the account was restored from iCloud relates to the Authenticator backup process and does not necessarily mean that access to the mailbox has been restored.

If you're unable to complete the sign-in process or no longer have access to your usual verification methods, you may also try the Microsoft Account Recovery form: Recover your account.
