If your startup is eligible for this benefit, it will appear in your Benefits section within the Microsoft for Startups Portal.
To check and activate:
- Sign in to your Microsoft benefits/reseller portal
- Navigate to the “Microsoft for Startups” program page
- Navigate to the Benefits tab
- Look for the specific benefit (Microsoft 365 Business Premium)
If the benefit is not listed, it means it has not been provisioned to your account. In that case, please confirm your eligibility or contact support for assistance.
Once activated, this offer is valid for 12 months. A credit card is required to complete this process for identity verification and to prevent service interruptions when your benefit ends. The country you select to register for Microsoft 365 must match the country of the credit card used.
You can add users, assign licenses, look at your invoices, and adjust billing preferences via https://admin.microsoft.com.

I previously activated the Microsoft 365 Business Standard Benefit. Am I still eligible for Business Premium?
Yes, if you have activated the Business Standard Benefit, you are still eligible to activate the Business Premium benefit. Please navigate to your portal and follow the redemption instructions from there.
Can the Microsoft 365 benefit be extended?
No. Microsoft 365 is only valid for one year from the date you activate the benefit.
Can I use Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot is not included in your Microsoft 365 benefit offer and requires a separate purchase.
How can I add my domain in Microsoft 365?
Follow the instructions in Microsoft's documentation for adding a domain to Microsoft 365: Add a domain to Microsoft 365.
I activated one Microsoft 365 license. How do I activate the rest?
Log in to the Microsoft 365 Portal. Navigate to Billing > My Products > Microsoft 365 Business Standard. In 'Buy Licenses', enter the total number of licenses you would like to activate and save.

Why am I getting billed for Microsoft 365 after I activate the benefit?
The following are common reasons you might receive a bill for Microsoft 365 after activating your benefit:
- Changing your billing frequency. The default billing cycle is monthly. Changing the billing frequency to annual will cancel the benefit and begin to charge the credit card on your account.
- Cancelling any paid subscriptions.
- Using a Business Standard subscription.
