Just wanted to let all the Long Island residents know that Tony-winning performer - and Syosset native! - Idina Menzel (RENT, Wicked, Enchanted) will be performing on March 28th at 8:00 pm at the Tilles Center Concert Hall in Brookville while on tour in support of her recent Warner Bros album, I Stand. Tickets are on sale now through the Ticketmaster, and range $42 - $65.

As I'm sure most of you have heard, about a month ago, Ecuadorian native Marcelo Lucero was stabbed to death by seven Pat-Med students in a racially motivated attack. Tonight we have the chance to give something back to his family. The Blue Point Brewery is hosting "An Evening For Marcelo's Mom".

Tickets are $40 and include admission, food and drinks.
All Proceeds go directly to Marcelo's Mom.

just moved back home from boston/cambridge ma and i need my drum n bass fix. i know a few places to find it in the city, but getting there late at night is a hassle and cost i'd rather not be dealing with more than once a week. i'm used to hitting elements @ phoenix landing every thursday and am looking for a weekly dnb night here.

so:
i'd also be okay with breaks, glitchhop. no liquid, i like it hard.

This is not your average Rocky Horror Presentation. Of course the film is being played on a giant screen, like any other movie. The difference is the cast of actors that perform in front of the screen for the duration of the movie, adding to, and shadowing the action. Although their performance mimics the movie, they add so much more with their performance. Players flood the audience during “The Time Warp” and pull people up out of their seats to participate and the lead character literally performs one of his scenes in an audience members lap.
