Journal of Nonverbal Behavior is a peer-reviewed platform dedicated to original research on all major areas of nonverbal behavior.
This journal now follows double anonymous peer review for all new submissions beginning October 3rd, 2024. In order to ensure that the author(s) remain anonymous to the reviewers throughout the peer review process, you will be asked to submit certain information and statements directly in the system’s interface instead of including it in the manuscript or on a separate title page. We are currently working on revising our submission guidelines to reflect this properly. When preparing your manuscript, please make sure to have all the necessary author details and statements as described below at hand, but please note that you will have to submit some of them via the according fields in the system’s interface during submission and not on a separate title page.
SNAPP Double Anonymous Peer Review Guidelines
We have recently migrated to a new online submission system. If your paper was submitted prior to 19th July 2022 under the old system, Editorial Manager, with a manuscript number such as “JONB-D-22-00051” then please use the same submission to submit any revisions on your manuscript.
You can still access your manuscript in the system by the following link, using your credentials: https://www.editorialmanager.com/jonb/default2.aspx
If you have submitted your paper on or after 19th July 2022 this will have been via the new system, SNAPP, and will have a tracking number such as “Ref:2022-35”. In this case please use the blue "Submit Manuscript" button on the journal website and follow the link to the website to submit any revisions.
