    • International collaboration: The journal continues to strengthen its international profile, with a steady increase in global collaboration among authors.
    • Gender balance: In 2025, 57% of contributing authors were women, marking a significant improvement in gender parity.

  • Journal History

    Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research (NAER) emerged in 2012 from the research group GIDU-EDUTIC/IN and the educational divisions of the IVITRA Project, both at the University of Alicante. Prof. Rosabel Roig-Vila (University of Alicante) and Prof. Santiago Mengual-AndrĂ©s (University of Valencia) have been leading NAER since its creation. Between 2012 and 2023 NAER was published by the University of Alicante. Starting from January 2024, Springer Nature will be publishing NAER. Since its creation, the objective of NAER has always been and will always be the same: to promote research, innovation and the transfer of scientific knowledge through the publication of the most innovative educational research of the moment.
