About the project
Living the War is an independent, nonprofit documentary project with the focus on collecting human experiences and visual testimonies of the war during the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The project was founded in Kyiv in May 2022. We aim to answer one of the most popular questions from the international community: How do you live there during the war? Although itโs impossible to fully understand without being there, we believe that one of the best ways to find answers is through peopleโs personal stories and photo documentation. We publish a seriesโจof books, an online journal, and organise photo exhibitions in cooperation with our partners.
Partners
We are grateful to our partners for their generous support of this documentary project, to our contributors, and to those who tell the truth about the full-scale war in Ukraine and preserve the memory.
